Overview
Terasa Sauvignon Blanc by Vinarija Matalj comes from the Terasa vineyard in Mihajlovac, on sandy alluvial soil near the Danube. Awarded silver at the Expovina Wine Trophy 2025 in Zurich, this Sauvignon Blanc showcases clarity, freshness, and precision as its stylistic leitmotifs.
In the Glass
Straw yellow with greenish reflections, clear and of crystalline transparency.
On the Nose
The bouquet reveals green tomato, gooseberry, prickly pear, and vineyard peach, underlain by a delicate herbal freshness. The aroma appears cool and controlled, varietally typical without overripeness.
On the Palate
Tight, lively, and mineral with precise acidity and an elegant texture. The freshness carries long, the finish is clear and with a salty mineral streak – a reflection of the sandy Danube terroir. No oak influence, maximum varietal typicity.
Food Pairing
Oysters and seafood, goat cheese salads, grilled asparagus, sushi, light fish dishes with citrus aromas.
