A trace of an era

Once the golden name of a large country, it took on a patina over the years until 2017, after thorough renovation and vision, the long-term process of restoring its former glory began — we can rightly say that of an institution with over 125 years of tradition. The Palić Cellar is coming back to life today, with renewed orchards, a modern distillery, cellars and won the trophy for the best fruit distillate manufacturer in the world at the renowned IWSC competition in London in 2023. The current distillery covers an area of 11,000 m² and is equipped with two 1,000 m² high-quality oak barrels and aging tanks with a capacity of up to 5 million liters of premium spirit per year. Part of the secret of Podruma Palić's success certainly lies in their orchard, which covers 100 hectares of top-quality land in the Palić Lake region, where they only grow exquisite types of fruit.

Under the leadership of Aleksandar Runčev, Podrum Palić has assembled a team of outstanding experts, fruit growers, technologists and master mixers. With their knowledge and dedication, they have used more than a century of experience to carefully build a portfolio of exquisite drinks of exceptional quality that delight consumers and offer sophisticated tastes on domestic and global markets. The numerous awards and honors they have received since the launch of their first product, Baraba Brandy, attest to this. In order to obtain the finest brandies and preserve the luxurious aroma and taste of the fruit, only masters of their craft are needed. The harvested fruits are picked by hand so that only the best, fully ripe fruits are produced. Without any treatment, the fruits are immediately washed, ground or mashed. Fermentation takes place exclusively with natural yeasts at low temperatures. The premium brandy brand Baraba is now central to Podruma Palić's product range, as the best thing that comes out of their house and of which they proudly say: their essence and philosophy in full. Welcome to the World of Premium Brandies is the famous actor Srđan Žika Todorović, whose name appears on the label of this unique brandy: “Kakve Nema”. The Pelinkovac line is also produced with great care using a recipe with up to 37 aromatic medicinal plants.
