Vladimir

We would like to give you more information about Vladimir Winery. Let's start with a few words about the winery itself: In short, Vladimir Winery is a “garage winery” in Banja, a small village in Sumadija, about 75 km from Belgrade.

Limited, Rare, Extraordinary

We produce limited quantities (approx. 3,000 to 4,000 bottles per year) of high-quality, handcrafted red wine, focusing primarily on quality (rather than quantity). It is a niche in the wine market, the exact opposite of mass-produced goods. Our idols are world-famous garage wineries from Bordeaux — they produce limited quantities of high-quality red wine from their small vineyards. We aim for the same with our “Bordeaux Red Blend” of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from our vineyard.

General information:

The vines were planted in 2007/08, but the vineyard was neglected for a few years (around 2010—2014) until it was taken over at the beginning of 2014. The grapes for wine production come exclusively from our vineyard (approx. 1 hectare), so the entire process from viticulture to winemaking is completely controlled. Our wines mature for at least 36-40 months before they are on the market: approx. 12-24 months in high-quality French barriques (Radoux and Nadalie, new and used) and approx. 12-24 months in the bottle. Our team consists of highly qualified experts in viticulture and winemaking — one of our consultants is considered one of the best wine experts in the world. We have succeeded in producing wine of the highest quality — during a blind tasting, our wine received excellent reviews from both wine experts and wine lovers.

Wine as art

We regard winemaking as an art. That's why we decided to treat our bottles like works of art, with unique labels designed exclusively for our winery by Eugen II Kočiš. When you visit us, you will notice from afar the colorful roof of our Vojvodin Art Nouveau building, which is also recognized as a valuable piece of architecture. We wanted to give our guests an unforgettable experience every step of the way and a sublime sense of the space in which they taste our wines. That is why we have decorated the barrique room with large red Murano glass chandeliers, where you can completely immerse yourself in the tannins and bouquet and simply enjoy the wines.
