Overview
"Tamjanika Barrique No. 3/4" by Ivanović from Župa is one of Serbia's most unusual white wine bottlings: the intensely aromatic Tamjanika grape meets barrique aging – a bold stylistic decision that brings complexity and maturity to a normally fresh varietal.
In the Glass
Golden yellow to amber; intense color reflecting the oak aging.
On the Nose
Dried apricot, orange marmalade, honey, and wax – the typical Tamjanika aroma is complemented by vanilla, butter cream, and a slight roasted note from the barrique. Complex and multi-layered.
On the Palate
Full-bodied and concentrated, with integrated oak spice. The acidity is more moderate than in the basic version; the wine shows depth and texture. The finish is long, aromatic, and warm.
Food Pairing
Foie gras, blue cheese, chicken in saffron sauce, oriental sweets.
Serving Recommendation
- Temperature: 11–13 °C

Origin
Ivanović, Župa region – home of Tamjanika cultivation in Serbia. The barrique variant of Tamjanika is a rarity; the limited numbering (No. 3/4) indicates artisanal bottling in small quantities.
