Silver — Expovina Wine Trophy 2025
Falstaff 96 points — Peter Moser 2023
The Kremen Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 from the Matalj winery is one of the most renowned red wines in Serbia. At the Expovina Wine Trophy 2025 in Zurich he convinced the jury and was Silver excellent — another international recognition for the quality of Serbian wines. Also Falstaff editor-in-chief Peter Moser awarded impressive 96 points, which finally catapults wine into the league of top wines.
Its origin is in the legendary vineyard “Kremenjača” in Negotinska Krajina. Marine deposits and flint characterize the terroir here and give the wine its unique minerality.
In the glass, Kremen Kamen is deep ruby red with intense viscosity. Unfold in the nose black currants, dried plums and blackberries, supplemented by notes from forest soil, eucalyptus, tobacco, leather, cocoa and white pepper. It shows on the palate powerful and harmonious, carried by ripe tannins, with a long, complex finish and great storage potential.
