At a glance
Kremen Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 from Vinarija Matalj is one of the most distinctive red wines in Southeast Europe: 96 points from Falstaff critic Peter Moser in 2023 and Silver at the Expovina Wine Trophy Zurich 2025. The wine comes from the premium Kremenjača vineyard in Negotinska Krajina, where calcareous soils, flint, and ancient marine deposits characterize the terroir.
In the glass
Intense ruby red with dense viscosity and a concentrated color core.
On the nose
Blackcurrants, dried plums, and blackberries form the fruit core. Tobacco, leather, forest floor, eucalyptus, and white pepper underpin the fruit with tertiary depth. The bouquet is complex and capable of further development.
On the palate
Powerful, concentrated, and harmonious. The ripe tannins are perfectly integrated, the texture compact, and the finish long, mineral, and complex. A wine with great aging potential and a distinctive signature – classic Cabernet Sauvignon character with the unmistakable minerality profile of the Kremenjača site.

Origin
The Kremenjača vineyard in Negotinska Krajina is characterized by calcareous soils, flint (Serbian "kamen" = stone), and ancient marine deposits. This geological complexity gives the wine its characteristic minerality. Vinarija Matalj, "Serbia's Best Winery 2024", is one of the most respected wineries in the region.
