Overview

"8 Tamburaša" — eight Tambura players — is a premium red cuvée from Zvonko Bogdan in Vojvodina. The name is a tribute to Vojvodinian music culture; in terms of winemaking, the wine stands for ripe, cuvée-typical complexity with barrique aging.

In the glass

Deep ruby garnet with violet-dark reflections; opaque core, intense and richly colored.

On the nose

Dominant dark berry fruit — blackberry, black cherry, cassis — complemented by toasted wood, cocoa powder, and a hint of dried blueberry. With aeration, leather and tobacco notes develop.

On the palate

Powerful and dense, with a pronounced body and ripe tannins. The acidity provides freshness and length. The finish is long and spicy, with persistent dark fruit.

Food recommendation

Grilled beef, roasted beef with onions, braised dishes, dark chocolate desserts.

• Temperature: 16–18 °C
• Decanting: 45–60 minutes recommended

Origin

Zvonko Bogdan in Subotica, Vojvodina, is one of the most prominent wineries in Northern Serbia. The winery combines traditional grape varieties of the region with international varieties and modern cellar management.
