Zvonko Bogdan's Merlot Premium 2020 is a single-varietal Merlot from Vojvodina - one of Serbia's warmest wine regions. The winery in Subotica uses the continental climate to produce fully ripe, velvety Merlot bottlings.

In the glass

Deep ruby red with violet hues; intense color, opaque in the center.

On the nose

Ripe plum, black cherry, and blackberry dominate. Accompanied by notes of chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of espresso from the barrique contact. Warm and inviting.

On the palate

Full-bodied, velvety tannins, round acidity. Characteristic of fully ripe Vojvodinian Merlot. The finish is long, soft, and with persistent fruit.

Food pairing recommendations

Beef fillet, pasta with meat sauce, truffle risotto, medium-hard cheeses.

Origin

Zvonko Bogdan, Subotica, Vojvodina. Merlot shows great ripeness and fruitiness in the sandy, warm soils of northern Vojvodina.
