In the glass
Deep ruby red with violet reflections; intense, dense color.
On the nose
Ripe black cherry, plum, and cassis at its core. Vanilla, chocolate, and woody spice from barrel contact. With air, tobacco and fine balsamic notes emerge.
On the palate
Full-bodied with velvety tannins and balanced acidity. The 2021 vintage shows ripe fruit with good freshness. The finish is long and warm.
Food pairing
Roast beef, lamb shank, truffle pasta, aged hard cheeses.
