The grapes come from carefully tended vineyards at two locations – Zlatno Brdo and Šeškovac (Ralja) – with a total area of 14 hectares. Of particular note is the targeted clone selection in the Zlatno Brdo vineyard, where the Janko winery has planted sixteen carefully selected clones from 43 tested varieties. This investment testifies to a future-oriented commitment to quality with lasting significance – not only for the winery itself, but also for the development of regional viticulture.
Bouquet:
Intense and complex. Aromas of blueberries, ripe plums, and red pepper dominate, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and freshly ground coffee.
Taste:
Exceptionally complex and full-bodied. The tannins are fine and silky at the beginning, but develop a pleasant, slightly more angular structure over time, perfectly supporting the balance between lively acidity and high alcohol content. The finish is very long, developing new flavors – from ripe fruit and spicy pepper notes to vanilla and chocolate, elegantly rounding off the overall impression.
