Overview
Ivanović's Prokupac 2022 is a single-varietal expression of Serbia's most important indigenous red grape. The Župa region is considered the core terroir for Prokupac – producing the most aromatic and full-bodied bottlings of this variety.
In the glass
Vibrant ruby red with bright, cherry-red reflections; medium color density, transparent and clear.
On the nose
Characteristic of Prokupac: fresh red cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry. Accompanied by spicy notes of pepper, thyme, and wild herbs. Floral undertone of violets.
On the palate
Light to medium body with crisp acidity – typical for Prokupac. The tannins are present but never coarse. The finish is medium, fruity, and herbaceous. The fresh 2022 vintage is well expressed.
Food pairing
Grilled Čevapčići, sheep cheese (Feta), Pljeskavica, light lamb dishes, mushroom risotto.
