Overview
"Filigran Cabernet Sauvignon 2017" is a mature, single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from Bukovo – a Serbian winery focusing on refined ("filigree") wine interpretations. The 2017 vintage has gained significant depth and complexity after several years of bottle aging.
In the glass
Developed garnet-ruby red with an orange rim – a sign of bottle maturity; clear, transparent color.
On the nose
Ripe black cherry and cassis with secondary notes of tobacco, leather, and cedar. Tertiary aromas of bottle aging are evident in notes of dried mushroom and balsamic.
On the palate
Well-integrated, now soft tannins; acidity provides freshness and length. Complex and harmonious – typical of a well-aged Cabernet Sauvignon. The finish is long and elegant.
Food pairing
Aged hard cheese, roast lamb, game dishes with mushrooms, duck breast with red wine sauce.
