Overview

EMPERUS Voždov Grumen Apricot Brandy is a Serbian fruit brandy made from hand-picked apricots grown in the home village of Vožd Karađorđe. The mash of ripe stone fruits is traditionally fermented and double-distilled in copper stills. The result is a clear, fruit-driven brandy with a pronounced apricot character and a subtle sweetness.

In the glass

Clear and crystal-clear, with a minimal yellow shimmer – typical for a young, unaged fruit brandy. Slight viscosity when swirled.

On the nose

Intense, clean apricot bouquet with notes of ripe peach skin and white blossoms. In the background, a subtle almond aroma and a delicate floral accent emerge, indicating the use of ripe, sun-drenched fruits. The nose is fruity-fresh with no off-notes.

On the palate

Medium body with lively fruit acidity and a soft, slightly sweet mid-palate. Apricot jam, dried apricots, and a hint of bitter almond dominate the palate. The finish is medium-long, dry, and with a pleasant warmth. No harsh alcoholic burn.
