Djokovic Syrah 2021

Overview

The Syrah 2021 from Đoković Winery – founded by the family of tennis star Novak Djokovic – is a single-varietal Syrah from Serbia. In warmer, continental regions, the grape variety exhibits dark berry fruit, black pepper, and spicy depth.

In the glass

Deep ruby-violet to purple; intense, dense color with dark reflections.

On the nose

Black cherry, blackberry, and cassis in the foreground. Characteristic Syrah spice with black pepper, licorice, and violet notes. Subtle toasted wood and smoky aromas in the background.

On the palate

Full-bodied and dense, with powerful tannins and good acidity. The 2021 vintage shows concentration and length. The finish is long, spicy, and with persistent fruit.

Food pairing

Grilled lamb, pepper beef steaks, game dishes with dark sauces, mature sheep's cheese.

Origin

Đoković Winery was founded by the Serbian Djokovic family. Located in Serbia, it produces modern, international styles – including Syrah as one of its main products. The winery has quickly gained recognition.
