Šljivovica is a fruit brandy or rakija made from plums. Only the finest and sweetest plums are used for good slivovitz, slivovitz, or sljivovica. This absolute premium plum brandy bears the name of the distiller, Branko, and in this case, he guarantees the absolute highest quality: an old plum brandy made from the distillation of four plum varieties, aged for 10 years in oak barrels. Its color is antique gold, with the aroma of honey and ripe plums and a light hint of coconut. It tastes sweet with pyatic fruit acids. Due to its delicate fruity notes and subtle sweetness, good slivovitz is suitable both for drinking neat and as a mixer for cocktails such as a Belgrade Mule (Šljivovica, ginger ale, and mint). With its 50% alcohol content, Sljivovica "Branko" is best enjoyed neat with an ice cube.
