At a Glance
Zora 7 Plum Brandy by Emperus is a seven-year-aged Serbian plum brandy from the premium Zora line. The seven years spent in hand-picked oak barrels give the brandy remarkable depth and complexity, far surpassing the standard category of Šljivovica brandies. This pack contains 20 bottles of 0.1 liters each – designed for gastronomy, events, and professional tastings.
In the Glass
Deep amber to mahogany brown – an expression of the seven years of oak aging with intense color extraction. High viscosity; the brandy leaves wide, slowly flowing streaks on the glass.
Nose
Complex, multi-layered bouquet: dried plum, fig, and prune form the fruity core. Vanilla, caramel, and oak tannins – classic aging aromas – complement the picture. Fine nuances of honey, dried tobacco, and cinnamon also emerge, indicating the long wood aging. The overall bouquet is warm and expressive.
Palate
Velvety, dense texture with a pronounced body. Dried fruits and honey characterize the entry, followed by spicy oak notes and a hint of caramel. The aging notes are fully integrated; no sharp alcoholic burn despite the proof. The finish is long, warm, and complex with a lingering wood-fruit finish.
Serving Suggestion
Neat at 18–22 °C in a snifter – the full aroma profile unfolds with slight warmth. On the rocks as a more accessible option. As a digestif after hearty main courses; harmonizes with a medium-strength cigar. As a base in whisky-like cocktails or complex brandy sour recipes.
