Perfectly served: In order to optimally develop the aromas of this white wine, we recommend serving it at a temperature of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in a round, wider-bodied glass.
Wine region and production: Chardonnay Terasa comes from the Negotinska Krajina wine-growing region in Serbia. The grapes for this wine grow on the sun-drenched terraces of the Matalj winery in Mihajlovac, where the unique alluvial sandy soil makes for full, juicy and flavorful wines.
Grape variety and vinification: Chardonnay Terasa is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. After a selective manual harvest, a 12-hour cold maceration takes place before the wine is gently pressed and fermented. Some fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, while another part matures in new and used 225 liter barrels and 500 liter Serbian oak barrels. After 6 months on the yeast and a further 6 months in the bottle, Chardonnay Terasa 2020 is in full splendor.
