Overview

"Šljivovica 5 Lux" is the premium bottling of plum rakija from Stara Pesma — aged for 5 years, LUX quality. Šljivovica is the national drink of Serbia; in its 5-year Lux quality, the rakija demonstrates the depth, smoothness, and maturity gained from wood aging.

In the glass

Golden yellow to amber — distinct color from 5 years of wood aging; warm and radiant.

On the nose

Deep plum and prune aromas, combined with woody spices: vanilla, oak, caramel. Notes of dried plums and tobacco from long aging. Complex and multi-layered.

On the palate

Smooth and harmonious — the 5 years of aging round off the edges of the young rakija. Creamy texture, warm body, long finish with plum, woody spices, and a hint of dark chocolate.

Serving suggestion

Neat as a digestif or aperitif — tempered to 18–20 °C. As an accompaniment to aged cheeses, cured meats, or nut desserts. Also in a high-quality whisky glass on ice.
