Kovačević Aurelius 2021 – a red wine from Kovačević Winery, Fruška Gora.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with purple reflections. The nose reveals ripe dark berry fruit – blackberry, blueberry, cassis – complemented by subtle oak nuances of vanilla, cedar wood, and sweet spices. The palate is complex, fleshy, with a fruity character, medium acidity, and firm, finely textured tannins. Long, spicy finish. A Bordeaux-style blend in the classic Kovačević style.

Vinarija Kovačević in Irig is one of Serbia's most prestigious wineries. Since 2001, Miroslav Kovačević, a third-generation winemaker, has continued the family tradition – with a clear vision, state-of-the-art cellar technology, and deep roots in Fruška Gora. The vines are located on the south-facing slopes of Fruška Gora (Srem, approx. 240 m altitude). In 2013, Kovačević took over the historic "Podrum 1930" – an iconic cellar from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which today combines tradition and cutting-edge technology. Falstaff regularly rates Kovačević with 90+ points – the Edicija-S line is considered the benchmark for premium wines from Serbia.
