Janko Smederevka 2022 – a premium product from Vinarija Janko, Smederevsko Vinogorje.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow with a delicate green shimmer, crystal clear and with a lively sheen. The nose displays the typical varietal profile of Smederevka: fresh lime and lemon blossom, herbaceous spice, and delicate notes of vineyard peach and apricot. Dry on the palate, medium-bodied, with lively, crisp acidity and delicate fruit – apple, pear, a hint of green pepper. Light presence, long, mineral-fresh finish with citrus-accented persistence.
Highlights
- Indigenous Serbian variety with millennia of cultivation history in the Smederevo area
- Stainless steel aging – unfiltered varietal typicity, no oak influence
- Decanter World Wine Awards 2018 – Bronze (Smederevka 2017)
- Zlatno Brdo vineyard near Smederevo – one of Serbia's award-winning sites
