Overview
The Smederevka 2022 from Vinarija Janko is a single-varietal expression of the indigenous Smederevka grape, which has been cultivated for millennia in the Smederevsko Vinogorje region. Stainless steel aging preserves the unfiltered varietal typicity without oak influence. Decanter Bronze 2018 for the 2017 vintage.
In the glass
Pale yellow with a delicate green shimmer, crystal clear and with lively brilliance.
On the nose
The varietally typical aroma profile of Smederevka is revealed in fresh lime and lemon blossom, herbaceous spiciness and delicate notes of vineyard peach and apricot. The bouquet is light and precise.
On the palate
Dry with a medium body and lively, crisp acidity. Apple and pear are the primary fruit aromas, a hint of green pepper adds character. The finish is mineral-fresh with citrus-focused persistence and pleasant length.
Food pairing
