Overview
Vinarija Janko's 2022 Sauvignon is a single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc from the Smederevo wine region. Matured in stainless steel, the wine showcases the classic aromatic profile of the varietal in a continental climate expression – with lively acidity and clear, varietal minerality.
In the glass
Pale yellow-green with brilliant luster, lively and fresh.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with tomato leaf and nettle – the classic herbal Sauvignon leitmotifs. Gooseberry, green apple, and white flowers complement the spectrum. The aroma is fresh, inviting, and clearly without reduction.
On the palate
Medium-bodied, crisp, and mineral with a lively acidic structure. The fruitiness is long and citrus-driven, the finish refreshing and precise. No oak influence – maximum varietal typicity.
Food pairing recommendations
Grilled zander, trout, sea bream or sea bass, green asparagus with hollandaise, goat cheese, light fish dishes of Serbian cuisine.
