Erdevik Estate is located in the historic village of Erdevik in Serbia's Fruška Gora region – a region whose winemaking tradition dates back to the Roman Empire. The winery was founded in 1826 by Count Livio Odescalchi (family of Pope Innocent XI) and today combines Italian heritage with modern precision. Erdevik is located on the 45th parallel – the same line as Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Willamette Valley. 64 ha of vines on loess and calcareous marl soils, cooled by the Danube. The only Serbian winery represented at all global James Suckling tastings.
