Overview
EMPERUS Voždov ZLATNI Grumen Grapa is a Serbian grape brandy made from Muscat grape varieties – a variant of the Grappa category produced in Serbia, here as a Loza-style brandy. The raw material consists of select Muscat grape varieties; the ZLATNI premium line stands for careful distillation and maturation. The brandy exhibits a distinct, varietally characteristic Muscat bouquet.
In the glass
Crystal clear and colorless – an unaged, pure grape distillate. Its clarity underscores the precision of its distillation; no yellow hue from wood aging.
On the nose
Intense, single-varietal Muscat bouquet with notes of Muscat grape, rose blossom, and white peach. In the background, subtle resinous aromas and a typical pomace character emerge. The nose is fresh, floral, and complex – characteristic of distillates from aromatic grape varieties.
On the palate
Fresh and vibrant with an elegant body. Muscat fruit and floral aromas dominate the mid-palate, flanked by clear minerality and a slight bitter herbal note on the finish. The finish is medium-short and clean, with a lingering rose blossom note. Alcohol 43% vol – present but not dominant.
Serving suggestion
Neat, slightly tempered at 14–16 °C in a tulip glass – the floral aromas open up optimally. On the rocks as a refreshing option in summer. As a digestif after fish dishes or light risottos. As an aromatic base in Spritz variations or Grappa Sour cocktails.
Serving recommendation
- Temperature: 14–16 °C (slightly chilled to room temperature)
- Glass: Grappa tulip or white wine glass
